Fashion shows are often remembered for what happens on the runway. I was usually drawn to what happened just outside it. The waiting, the conversations, the nervous energy, the temporary communities that formed behind the scenes. In this image, the crowding of figures into a narrow frame creates a sense of movement and urgency, despite the fact that everyone is just standing still.
